Wisdom 3:1–9 — The souls of the just are in the hand of God

Wisdom says the souls of the just are in God's hand and that their departure looks like disaster only to the foolish. Jesus stands at a tomb and says the dead who believe will live. The Roman Lectionary appoints Wisdom 3 among Masses for the Dead.
