Matthew 7:12 — The Golden Rule

Tobit gives the negative form of the Golden Rule: do not do to another what you dislike. Jesus gives the positive form and identifies it with the Law and the Prophets. The texts are closely related ethically; Matthew does not identify Tobit as a quoted source.
